笑顔のお手本 #4 　- 　東京の人： Smile OTEHON #4　 - Tokyoite

"東京の人って、冷たそう。。。" って、思っていました、東京で暮らし始める前は・・・でも、そんなこと、ありませんでした。　そのことをあらためて思う、このごろです。　

カッコ悪いことに、ちょっと怪我をしてしまい、Shorinは、しばし松葉杖の生活となっております。（苦笑）

で、日々の移動には、バリアフリーの東京の公共交通機関を利用しておりますが、駅でも、地下鉄の車内でも、エレベーターでも、松葉杖をついている私に、みなさんとても親切です。　

年配の人と言わず、若い人と言わず、通路では道を譲ってくれるし、エレベーターではボタンを押してドアを開け、私が無事に通るのを待ってくれるし、車内では席を譲ってくれるし、「ありがとうございます。」　と言うと、「いえいえ、急がないで。」と、返してくれます、それも笑顔で!　

大阪出身のShorinは、東京に出てくる前、そのような親切というのは、大阪の人々のいわば　"一手製造販売"　で、他の土地、特に東京の人たちには期待してはいけないのだ、と思っていました。　そのことを、いま、大変申し訳なく感じています。　

下の写真は、都営大江戸線の汐留駅のバリアフリー対応のエレベーターですが、ここに乗り込むと、居合わせた方々、優しく、笑顔で、私が無事に乗り降りができるか、見守りつつ、「開」ボタンを押し続けていてくれます。　それも、忙しそうなビジネスマンでも。　

Shorin はそのことがとっても嬉しく、そんな全ての人々に、感謝の気持ちを示す意味で、笑顔のお手本#4 です。（^^)/ 　人さまにカメラを向けられず、エレベーターに代表してもらいました。　（笑）
　

I had thought Tokyoite would be cold, before I started living in Tokyo... and I was wrong.　Am thinking of that these days.

Am ashamed to say, I have got some injury and am now using crutches for a while. (Nah.) 　For my daily journeys I have to use Tokyo's barrier-free public transportation system, and people are really very nice to me with crutches, in a station, elevator, bus or in train.

People both from elderly and younger generations make way for me in isles, keep pressing elevators "Open" button waiting for me to pass through safely,　give up their seat and when I say "Thank you.", they reply "My pleasure, no hurries." and with smile!

Being from Osaka, before I came to Tokyo, I had thought Osaka people are "sole manufacturer and dealer" of this sort of kindness and I could not expect the same from people in other areas, especially in Tokyo. Now I feel so really sorry about it.

The picture is "barrier free concept" elevator in Shiodome station Toei Oedo Line. When I ride this people are really nice to me and press buttons for and watching me, with smile. Even business people who look to have tight time schedule.

I truly feel thankful for that and this is Smile OTEHON #4 to show my appreciation to all these people. I hesitate to aim my camera at them and I have the elevator represent them. LOL.
