日立の樹 - ホノルルから: Hitachi-no-ki pic from Honolulu

ホノルル在住の友人, Ken-san から、素晴らしい写真が届きました。　Ken-san ありがとう！！　(^^)/

日立のかの有名なCMソング　”この木何の木気になる木。。"　日本のみなさまはよくご存知かと思います。　まさにその木の写真で、ホノルル　のモアナルアガーデンズパークにある、モンキーポッドツリーという木、結構何本かあるうちの一本です。　

ホノルルにお越しの際は、ぜひお立ち寄りになってみられては。　ワイキキビーチ、DFSでショッピング、レストランでのお食事とは、また違う楽しみです。　

「ご自分で車で来られる場合は、ホテルのスタッフに言って、ちゃんとした地図と、運転のインストラクションを受けて来てくださいね。」　と、友人の弁。　（笑）

A friend of mine, Ken-san, who lives in Honolulu just sent me such a gorgeous photo. THANK YOU, Ken-san!! (^^)/

It is of the monkey pod tree known to us Japanese as the "HITACHI NO KI" which was made famous by Hitachi Corporation's TV advertisement. I'm sure you are familiar with the song "KONO KI NANNO KI KININARU KI …" The tree is one of several large monkey pods in Honolulu's Moanalua Gardens Park.

If you go to Honolulu please consider visiting the HITACHI NO KI. It is a very different experience compared to swimming at Waikiki Beach, shopping at DFS, or having meals at a gorgeous restaurant. If you drive to the park on your own my friend recommends that you get from the hotel staff detailed driving instructions including a good map.
